Professional Experience

Jade Wang is a Principal in Opportune’s Energy Practice. Jade has over 24 years of experience in the energy software industry and has expertise managing multi-million-dollar software implementations and business process optimization projects across midstream, upstream, pipeline, and LNG energy sectors. To support major organizational shifts, she has partnered with C-level executives of global growth companies to optimize business operations, implement process improvements, and improve customer experience by implementing data-driven business insights. Her team is positioned to deliver impactful results for clients in the energy industry. Prior to joining Opportune, she held leadership roles at Quorum Software, including Senior Director of Professional Services, as Global Delivery Optimization Lead, Commercial Lead, and Midstream Practice Lead where she oversaw delivery optimization, global staffing and development, and commercial strategy for 450 employees.

Jade holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Representative Projects

  • Designed 2-yr roadmap and strategy to optimize delivery and staffing for energy software company after M&A doubled the Professional Services department. Led program to consolidate operations and maximize capacity and demand alignment for a workforce of 450 employees across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Australia. Within 6 months of roadmap execution, reduced demand forecast modeling to 14% of original time. To keep up with demand, built execution plan for delivery centers to scale up by 80% and partnered with multiple departments to build a repeatable onboarding and training program for product with largest growth targets.
  • Worked directly with the go-to-market C-Suite team to spearhead the transformation of a global organization’s presales operations, standardizing and bringing the process online and formalizing commercial templates that covered 85% of the product portfolio across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. This overhaul resulted in a formal approvals workflow with the ability to capture performance metrics and reduced manual data management by 60%, enabling faster customer engagement that successfully supported an aggressive 20% annual revenue growth target.
  • Led multiple complex LNG, midstream, transportation implementations and advisory services for Tier 1 Midstream, Pipeline, LNG, and utility customers, overseeing program management, user training, QA testing for products, including but not limited to QPTM, TIPS, Energy Components, eONE, and FlowCal.
