Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, both carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane, is essential to meeting atmospheric carbon reduction goals while maintaining energy security and economic viability. This is a critical part of addressing global warming. Our firm provides independent technical expertise to project developers, investors, and other stakeholders navigating the complex regulatory and technical challenges associated with CCUS and methane mitigation.
With deep knowledge of CO₂ EOR operations, reservoir evaluation, simulation, and Class VI permitting, we offer objective technical assessments to help stakeholders evaluate projects, understand regulatory pathways, and manage risks. While we are not CCUS project developers, we provide independent, informed analysis to support decision-making and ensure that projects align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Beyond CO₂ storage, we support methane leak detection, quantification, and mitigation efforts. Our experience includes designing the probabilistic leak rate model and reserve estimation framework used in the BCarbon Methane Capture and Reclamation Protocol. Additionally, our expertise has been recognized with approval as a protocol reviewer ("Expert") for the Open Carbon Protocol.
