This event will benefit the Youth Development Center (YDC), a non-profit organization in Houston’s Greater Fifth Ward that provides after-school academic programming for at-risk students in grades 1–6. YDC is licensed as a school-age program through Texas Health and Human Services and is provided free of charge to enrolled low-income students.
Since COVID-19 rattled the world in the Spring of 2020, low-income and minority students have continued to be heavily affected. During the 2023-2024 academic year, YDC will be serving 120 students in our after-school program to assist them as they take steps to fill in the gaps missed due to many challenges. Join YDC as we work to further these students' education and create equal access to necessary education.
